Award Staff Performance This New Year

shutterstock_100100816The start of a new year is the perfect time your reassess your workplace and ensure that staff are happy. After all, happy workers perform better and with hard work comes greater productivity.

Forbes advised taking a look at the past years' resignations. Did you say goodbye to more than one staff member? If so, why? Was it because they were unhappy with their work conditions?

If the answer to this is yes, then it is time to find ways to keep your employees more engaged, more productive and happier.

Employees long to feel appreciated, so one of the best ways to ensure employee satisfaction is through an employee recognition scheme.

An employee recognition scheme will award an employee for reaching a certain target or for continually producing good work. It doesn't have to be a cash incentive. In fact, studies have shown gift vouchers or extra time to work on projects of interest can be more beneficial as rewards.

If you choose to introduce performance reviews as part of the recognition scheme, ensure you too take the test.
