Steakhouse 66 is all about fresh flavours, sensational views and of course, great steak. The modern Australian menu features a fantastic range of a la carte dishes, but as the name suggests their main drawcard is the grill menu. Including M.S.A rib eye fillet, porterhouse, scotch fillet, Angus tenderloin and Wagyu rump, you'll be spoilt for choice. Taking up the reigns as Venue Manager is Ben Hehir, fresh from curating some of the world's hottest venues in New York and London. A shiny new offering by the Apple and Pears Restaurant Group (Burma Lane & Red Spice Road), Meat Fish Wine – located in the QV arcade – is the sort of polished, glitzy dining you'd expect to find in a casino. It's farm-to-table inspired menu is all about delivering great meat, fish and wine, and more than 700 wines complement the dynamic, seasonally driven menu. The Wagyu rump cap with garlic butter is a winner, as is the beef eye fillet with broccoli, macadamia and lemongrass jus.
Since opening its doors in 1990, O'Connells has been at the forefront of pub gastronomy in Melbourne. Blending unique design with award-winning food and service, it's been home to some of the city's most iconic chefs. Located in Richmond, this restaurant has a reputation for serving some of the best oysters in Melbourne. Besides its oysters, the restaurant and store also serve tasty grain fed steak, making it the place to go when you're after a surf & turf. Scallops, prawns and creamy garlic sauce can be added to your steak for just $5, which will come with chips and salad too. To wash it down, we suggest you enjoy a few oyster shots.
Set in a historic Williamstown boatshed with bay views of Melbourne, Anchorage Restaurant offers an unbeatable waterfront dining experience. While specialising in seafood, their Anchorage Fillet, a 300g chargrilled eye fillet served with brandy garlic sauce, scallops, prawns, parmesan mash and sauteed greens, is a firm favourite.
